I kicked out this hour of tunage earlier today as a sort of systems diagnostic…I’ve been attempting to record a longer set for a special occasion but the audio would randomly distort and become unusable. Ouch. Anyways, this set is slightly dirty, and rather spacey if I do say so myself.
The Choice Cut this week is Giorgio Moroder’s Evolution (as remixed by Roger Sanchez). Evolution is a rather dark and thumpy bit of disco…I just picked up the original on vinyl, which I would also recommend you do if you can find a cheap enough copy.

I’ll be the first to say I’ve been slacking off. Between school starting, and a wild foray into music production, I’ve all but abandoned this project and that is kinda glum.
In addition I haven’t really received any real feedback…But watching as the numbers climbed, it has been rather amazing that every episode here has been downloaded/streamed at least 40 times, and even up to 80. Thank you for that.
At any rate, I am putting the pieces together for a re-launch. You’ll notice the site has become a little more plain, I have just migrated the site’s ‘engine’ over from Loudblog to a newer, not-as-dead engine called Podhawk, which was an easy conversion.

It’s a live mix, recorded at a party I played on New Year’s Eve…It was not a direct recording, so you’ll have to do with the ‘live ambiance.’ ;)
Also note at the end we were trying to hook turntables up, with limited power and lighting…Hence looping, sound cutting, and tempo changing. Heh.
